Nougat custom rom for tecno boom j8

 Good news for all Tecno Boom-J8 users in the house! Who says it's not possible to get nougat 7.0 rom on your device? On this forum, I've read about people who successfully port lollipop custom ROMs for this device but find it difficult to port higher ROMs like marshmallow or nougat. Some are asking Tecno to release KERNEL SOURCE to enable them port higher roms for their devices. But I'm here to tell you that you don't need kernel source from Tecno because Android lollipop kernel(64bit) can now boot some of the latest Nougat custom roms out there. Well, just go to this site: www.romclaims.com and download "OPT MT6735 RR 5.8.2 N7. 1.1 for Symphony". It is a Resurrection Remix nougat 7.1.1 custom rom made for Symphony p6 Pro. If you have rom porting knowledge you can use it on your Boom-J8. All you need to do is to cross-port. The Rom is great and smooth, packed with beautiful features you can't compare with you stock Rom. As boom j8 user, that's what I'm running on my device now. It's so awesome!

RESURRECTION REMIX ANDROID 7.1 NOUGAT CUSTOM ROM FOR TECNO-J8
Hello everyone, I present to you today Resurrection Remix android 7.1.1 Nougat custom rom for tecno Boom-J8. This rom is smooth, stable and does not lag. It is packed with cool features you can't find in every other custom rom out there. Before you flash the rom, I want you to take note of the following:
1. Your device must be rooted and TWRP custom recovery installed, preferably version 3.2.1 ported for Tecno-J8
2. You must take a Nandroid backup of your Stock Rom to your SD card to avoid touching story, and while doing that, you need to also backup 'boot logo' and 'nvram' in case youll want to go back to Stock Rom.
3. The only bug in the Rom is the Camera. It is working but has a low resolution, and there hasn't been any fix for that as at now. So, if you're not bothered about that, you can go ahead and enjoy the rom.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Boot your device to TWRP recovery mode
2. Swipe to allow modification and then backup your Stok Rom as said before.
3. Click on wipe, and swipe to factory Reset
4 Press the back button, chose advanced wipe and select
Dalvik/Art Cache
 System
Cache
Data
Internal Storage.
It is advised that you wipe internal storage of your device so you can have a smooth rom. Therefore, you should backup your personal data in a safe place. Swipe to wipe

5. Press the back button and Select install. Select storage and choose Micro SD. Locate the 'Resurrection Remix rom zip file' and select it. You can select 'Add more zips' option and then add SuperSu zip and Gapps Zip files respectively to flash all the 3 files at a go. Or you can decide to flash them separately by selecting and flashing one after the other. Press "swipe to install" and wait for the process to complete. After installation successful message, wipe Dalvik Cache and then reboot your phone.
NOTE:
First boot takes between 5 to 10 mins. So, you need to exercise patience.
Viola! You have Resurrection Remix android 7 nougat on your Tecno Boom-J8!
